The “flailing limbs” movements that were shown in the Troubletones performance of Survivor/ I Will Survive is known as “Waacking” This dance style was originated in Black and Latino gay disco clubs and has been around since at least the 70’s. We should give Glee’s choreographers a pat on the back…
I hereby take back what I said about the rest of the dance being “flail-y.” I plead general ignorance as I still think kids today are doing the Charleston. They are, right?
